Available manufacturer/device alarms and same-trip checks can add context while Salinity is still learning. They never replace the helm display or manual.

Each complete trip groups direction, speed, RPM, fuel burn, pressure, temperature, voltage, and other supported readings that normally occur together.

WORLDWIDE NMEA 2000 COMPATIBILITY

The network matters.
Not the logo.

Salinity is not tied to one chartplotter, engine brand, or region. Its read-only Bluetooth gateway direction uses supported standard data already moving across the boat's NMEA 2000 network.

THE SIMPLE RULENo brand whitelist. If an engine, sensor, or display publishes supported data onto NMEA 2000, Salinity can use that data.

The NMEA-powered engine, position, depth, fuel, battery, and environmental features are not region-locked. Salinity remains read-only and never sends commands back to the network.

Will it work
on your boat?

Android and iPhone release candidates are being prepared for store review. NMEA-powered features are designed for a compatible Bluetooth NMEA 2000 gateway, but that physical connection remains in hardware validation and is not enabled in public store builds yet. Conditions, logs, downloaded layers, and phone-based safety tools can still work without engine data.

NOAA Marine and BlueTopo map coverage focuses on U.S. waters, while USGS Satellite is online-only. Those data-coverage limits do not restrict the broader app. Free, Pro, and Family Pro packaging is prepared for storefront configuration.
