Every clean trip teaches Salinity what normal looks like for your boat.
Health starts with hard safety limits, then organizes trip data into speed-and-load groups for each engine. It learns which RPM, fuel flow, oil pressure, temperature, voltage, and other supported readings normally belong together instead of judging each number alone.
The example updates every 0.8 seconds and uses fractional speed plus changing acceleration and deceleration rates to mimic throttle and hull momentum. Salinity compares that live motion with the nearest learned one-MPH group.

WHY IT HELPS ABOARD
A number can be inside a broad red line and still be wrong for the job the boat is doing. Salinity builds organized data groups for neutral idle, forward travel, and reverse, so it knows the normal RPM and fuel burn at 25 MPH are not the same as 30 MPH or backing down—and keeps pressure, temperature, voltage, load, and other supported readings attached to that context.
